Hughes Paddison have chosen the local charity which it will support for 2011. We are pleased to confirm that we have committed to helping the registered charity The Hop Skip & Jump Foundation.

Hughes Paddison are committed to assisting the local registered charities in Gloucestershire.  The Hop Skip & Jump Foundation provides help and support to families of children with special needs, life threatening illness and disability. The charity assists those families by providing care and respite to parents and carers. The volunteers who support the families give vital assistance to children by providing play and support to those children, helping the children build confidence and social skills.

As part of our support the Firm will be sending a group of volunteers to work on gardening, painting and general maintenance of the centre at Seven Springs.  As much of the centre is outdoors with play equipment for the children, it is necessary to ensure that the venue is well cared for.  After a very cold winter, we hope to be able to help The Foundation by assisting practically. We will be attending in the spring and again in the autumn.
Hughes Paddison came to be involved with the charity after visiting Hop Skip & Jump Cotswold based in Seven Springs, just outside Cheltenham. We were extremely impressed by efforts the Charity makes to assist families of children in the area.  We are hopeful that our help will assist this fantastic charity.  There are three sites which are supported by the Foundation and the details are below.

Hughes Paddison Partner and Head of the Family Department Mark Paddison fully supports the Firms commitment to assisting Hop Skip & Jump “The partners at Hughes Paddison are proud to support the charity and have been more than happy to agree to the staff at Hughes Paddison taking time out of the office in order to assist this hugely worthwhile cause.”

Throughout the year Hughes Paddison will also be launching fundraising initiatives to raise money for The Foundation. We shall keep you informed of our efforts.
