Hughes Paddison has joined a number of other local businesses in sponsoring the 10th annual Tri Team Glos, Gloucestershire Triathlon to take place this year on Sunday 29th May at Brookworth School. www.triteamglos.co.uk.

Tri Team Glos Gloucester Triathlon is a fantastic early season sprint distance race and is widely recognised as one of the best organised triathlons in the south west.  In each of the last 5 years the race has been oversubscribed with a maximum of 220 places.  The pool swim of 400 metres is followed by a flat 25km bike and athletes finish with a 6km run.  There are prizes for overall male and female winners and all age group winners as well.

This year our intrepid trainee solicitor Damon Brookes will be carrying the Hughes Paddison flag (not physically!) The Gloucester race will be Damon's first venture into triathlon, Damon's main sport to date being karting in which he competes in a monthly league.

Damon who lives near Faringdon in Oxfordshire, has been training for the Glos event by bringing his roadbike to work with him, parking his car part way and cycling to and from the office.  He started at Shipton Oliffe in February daily conquering the "Col de Ham Hill" on his way home, and has extended his daily distance parking at Northleach - once he is cycling via Oxford we'll know the training is going well!  Damon is also swim and run training when time permits.

If you would like to take the challenge of entering a triathlon, whether for the first time, or a seasoned campaigner, go to Tri Team Glos website www.triteamglos.co.uk.
