 Teresa Dalton has worked in the law since leaving school starting out as an office junior. She first met up with Julie Hughes in 1982 at Cheltenham firm Griffiths McIlquham when she became Julie's secretary.
Three years later when Julie left to form the new Firm which is now Hughes Paddison with her husband John, it seemed natural for Teresa to move too and she joined us in September 1985, getting married that year as well.
From her secretarial background the next step for Teresa was to get to grips with double entry bookkeeping which she took in her stride at the same time as progressing to become a conveyancing fee earner in her own right.
Two pregnancies later, Teresa returned to us in a newly created position of Office Manager, overseeing the accounts department and all administration of the firm. She has taken in her stride the Firm quadrupling in size and overseen two office moves to now head a back office department of seven including a full-time costs draftsman and his assistant; the accounts staff, receptionists and office assistant.
Over the years Teresa has turned her hand for the Firm to all manner of management and employment issues and regulatory compliance generally. We print Teresa's story here to illustrate how after leaving school at 16, she holds down a vital and very responsible post in the running of our Firm. After 25 years, a big "thank you to Teresa".
