Hughes Paddison Continues to Support You - Our Coronavirus Plan

Following on from the Prime Minister’s announcement regarding a national lockdown, we reassure our clients and contacts that all of our departments remain open for business. All of the firm’s IT is operated in a secure VDI cloud environment, and so all of our staff are able to log on remotely and access all of the firm’s IT resources and client files as if they were in the office.

Our office at 10 Royal Crescent is not fully shut, as our Private Client Department (Wills, Estates, probate and related matters) and our Family and Litigation Departments (ongoing court proceedings) are considered essential services by the Law Society. We are therefore operating a skeleton staff, physically in the office. However, client contact from this point forward should be remote when possible. 

If our Commercial and Residential Property Departments or Corporate Department are acting for you on property or other transactional work, we will liaise with you on how best to provide signed documents and manage exchange and completion. 

We also appreciate that many of you are relying on our Employment Law Department for urgent and immediate advice in these challenging times.  All departments remain fully serviced.

The majority of our staff will work remotely, for the time being. We will utilise conference calls, Skype, Zoom, Facetime and other methods of communication as appropriate, to ensure we keep in touch with you and support you through this period. Please liaise with your usual contact to see what works best in your particular case.

As well as our individual email addresses, we may be contacted via the general email or the Make An Enquiry form on our website.

During these exceptional times, please be aware that it may take us a little longer to respond to enquiries, but we are working hard to minimise any disruption.
