The case of General Motors UK Ltd v The Manchester Ship Canal Company Ltd concerned a licence agreement which allowed General Motors to discharge surface water into the canal for a modest annual fee of £50.
Petra is a Trainee Solicitor in her first year of training, currently assisting Jane Witek in the Residential Property Department. Petra attended Coventry University where she successfully obtained an LLB (Hons) degree in Business Law. Petra then attended The University of the West of England to attain the Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
Prior to moving to Cheltenham, Petra worked as an Advice Session Supervisor at Coventry Citizens Advice where she dealt with all aspects of welfare matters. She also provided advice in respect of housing law including illegal evictions as well as debt recovery and employment law. Petra has worked in the legal profession since 2007.
Petra is fluent in Slovak and Czech. When work and her two young daughters allow, Petra likes doing various sports including playing tennis and enjoys foreign travel and cuisine.
