Hughes Paddison Boosts Commercial Expertise with New Appointments

Hughes Paddison broadens its commercial offering to both our existing clients and to Gloucestershire and UK wide businesses with two new appointments. We are delighted to welcome Katie Stewart, Associate Solicitor Commercial Property and Alicia Di Scenza, Paralegal who joins our Corporate and Commercial Team. 

Katie joins as an Associate Solicitor in the highly regarded Commercial Property team. She will support Hughes Paddison’s business clients focusing on commercial property sales and acquisitions, property development, Planning Agreements, Landlord and Tenant and strategic land matters.
With over 12 years’ experience of property work Katie’s ability and legal knowledge is a real asset to our team.  Before joining Hughes Paddison, Katie worked with an in-house legal team in the South West for six years, dealing with a wide variety of Commercial Property and Residential matters.  Prior to this, Katie worked for the legal team of a County Council.
Katie brings with her a broad experience of all aspects of Commercial Property. A few of her work highlights include: 

  • The recent sale of 30 new build commercial units in the South West; 
  • Working on the sale of leasehold office premises in multiple occupation for circa £9.5 million;  
  • Working on the acquisition of large retail premises conditional to planning for circa £7.5 million and working on the subsequent development refinance of the same; 
  • Dealing with several detailed S106 Agreements whilst working for a County Council, including retail and supermarket development projects and also preparing S106 Agreements for Planning Appeals.     

We also add another string to our bow, in appointing Alicia Di Scenza, who joins the firm’s Corporate and Commercial team as a Paralegal. Alicia obtained her undergraduate law degree at Aston University in 2019.  She completed a Masters in Law at the University of Birmingham, with a focus on international commercial and trade law topics, and has already completed a year as a paralegal in property at a firm in Worcester. Alicia is now looking forward to developing her skills as a corporate and commercial lawyer assisting on the wide range of high quality work in the Corporate and Commercial team at Hughes Paddison.
