Hughes Paddisons Ongoing Support for Winstons Wish

2023 Winston’s Wish Fundraising Recap

In 2023, Hughes Paddison took part in a host of fundraising activities, all in support of Winston's Wish our Charity of the Year. Our dedicated team joined together to help raise funds for much-needed support to bereaved children locally and across the UK.

Kicking off our partnership with Winston's Wish, Kerry and Louisa from Winston’s Wish delivered an inspiring talk at the Hughes Paddison offices. Their insights shed light on the staggering reality that over 100 children lose a parent every day in the UK – a statistic that ignited our determination to make a difference.

Throughout the year, our team participated in various activities, from the adrenaline-filled Cheltenham Half Marathon, where Laura Allright and Jess Reynolds laced up their running shoes, to the creative Easter Egg Painting Competition that showcased our team's artistic flair, every event resonated with our shared commitment to supporting Winston's Wish.

In June, our office transformed into a hub of culinary delight as our talented bakers whipped up delectable treats for our bake sale. Participation in the Annual Golf Day provided a perfect opportunity to network with fellow businesses while raising funds for a worthy cause, and our Halloween Craft Event sparked joy and creativity amongst our team members.

As the year drew to a close, we embraced the festive spirit with our Annual Christmas Festive Wear Day and Christmas Quiz, spreading joy while raising essential funds for Winston's Wish.

But our journey didn't end there. In February 2024, a fearless group of women from Hughes Paddison braved the icy waters of Sandford Parks Lido in Cheltenham for the Polar Plunge, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to making a difference, whatever the challenge.

At the heart of it all lies Winston's Wish, an organisation dedicated to providing vital emotional and practical support to bereaved children and their caregivers. Through their expert guidance, online resources, and specialist publications, they offer a beacon of hope to those navigating the difficult journey of grief.

As we embark on another year of partnership with Winston's Wish, our mission remains unchanged: to raise awareness, funds, and support for their invaluable work. Together, we strive to make a tangible difference in the lives of bereaved children across the UK, offering them solace, understanding, and a brighter future. In fact we've already got together a team of volunteers ready to take part in the Cotswold Challenge in June who are aiming to walk 26km in one day!

Please join us as we continue to stand by Winston's Wish, championing their cause and spreading hope in our communities. Together, we can make a difference.
