Hughes Paddison Proud to Continue Supporting Maggie's Cheltenham as Charity of the Year

We are delighted to continue our support for Maggie's Cheltenham as our Charity of the Year for a second consecutive year.

This year is particularly special as Maggie's celebrates its 30th anniversary. Since the first Maggie's Centre opened in Edinburgh in 1996, the charity has supported more than four million people living with cancer, along with their families and friends.

Founded on the vision of Maggie Keswick Jencks, Maggie's provides free practical, emotional and psychological support for anyone affected by cancer. Maggie believed that no one should "lose the joy of living in the fear of dying", and today that philosophy continues to shape the welcoming, non-clinical environments found in Maggie's Centres across the UK.

With 27 centres nationwide, including Maggie's Cheltenham, the charity offers expert support to anyone living with cancer, whatever their diagnosis or stage of treatment, helping people and their loved ones navigate one of life's most difficult challenges.

Following a successful Padel Tournament and a number of fundraising events over the past year, we are proud to have raised £1,694 for Maggie's so far. Over the coming months, colleagues from across Hughes Paddison will once again be taking part in a range of fundraising activities to raise even more for this incredible charity.

Our next challenge is Run Cheltenham on 20 September 2026, where Niamh McAlonan, Private Client Director, and Becky Tasker, Legal Secretary in our Family Department will be running the 10K. We wish them the very best of luck and look forward to cheering them on as they raise vital funds for Maggie's.

Jon Rathbone, MD was hoping to run in the Half Marathon again but has sadly had to withdraw due to injury.
