Hughes Paddison achieves Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditation

Hughes Paddison is delighted to announce that it has achieved accreditation with the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS), the quality mark for residential property lawyers introduced earlier this year. Hughes Paddison already prides itself on its high quality and personal service, this accreditation is confirmation of all the hard work that we here at Hughes Paddison have put into ensuring our service is the best it can be.

The CQS requires practices to undergo a strict assessment including compulsory training, self reporting, random audits and annual reviews in order to maintain CQS status. It is open only to members of the Law Society and to those who meet the demanding standards set by the scheme and has the support of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, Land Registry, the Building Societies Association, Legal Ombudsman and the Association of British Insurers.

The CQS provides a recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing practices and creates a trusted community which will deter fraud. It allows consumers to identify quality Conveyancing practices in a crowded and sometimes confusing market. The president of the Law Society has said that “The CQS will give homebuyers an instantly recognisable kite mark, highlighting a firm’s professional excellence and their commitment to providing a high quality service”.

Jane Witek, head of residential conveyancing, said:

“Hughes Paddison is delighted to have secured CQS status. It is recognition of the high standards we provide to our residential property clients and is a signal to future home buyers of the excellent service level we provide at what is often a stressful time for many people.”
