Andrew, a Director in the team, has been promoted following more than a decade of significant contribution to the department’s growth and development. He joined the firm in 2014, bringing extensive property litigation expertise and playing a central role in expanding the team’s specialist services. Over the years, he has guided and inspired several rounds of trainees completing their training contracts, fostering a culture of high performance and professional development within the team.
Known for his energetic, hands-on approach and infectious enthusiasm, Andrew brings a leadership style that combines strategic thinking with practical guidance, motivating his colleagues to deliver outstanding results for clients. He is committed to driving the team forward while maintaining the firm’s reputation for excellence in both commercial and property dispute work.
Commenting on his promotion, Andrew said:
“I’m pleased to take on the role of Head of Litigation at Hughes Paddison. I’ve been fortunate to work with this incredible team over the years, and I’m looking forward to continuing to develop our services and support clients through complex disputes.”
In his new role, Andrew will lead a team renowned for its dispute resolution expertise covering a range of commercial and personal litigation fields, including property disputes. The department advises on matters including shareholder and partnership disputes, breach of contract claims, professional negligence, contested wills and inheritance claims, and disputes relating to trusts. The property litigation specialists within the team represent commercial and residential property owners, developers, investors, and trustees on issues such as lease renewals, boundary disputes, possession claims, dilapidations disputes, and landlord and tenant matters.
Outside of work, Andrew channels his energy and determination into his personal pursuits. An avid fell runner, he has completed mountain ultras across the Alps and the Dolomites, with his longest single-stage race covering 145 miles. He is regularly found running in the Brecon Beacons, combining endurance, focus, and a love of the outdoors—qualities he brings equally to his professional life.
With Andrew at the helm, Hughes Paddison’s Litigation team is poised for continued growth and excellence, providing clients with expert guidance and innovative solutions across a wide spectrum of disputes.
