Hughes Paddison is delighted to announce the promotion of Diane Kemple to Director in our Family Team, recognising her many years of commitment to the firm, her extensive experience in family law and the important role she plays in supporting both her clients and colleagues.
Diane has been a valued member of Hughes Paddison for many years and is very much part of the fabric of the firm. Having seen the firm evolve and grow throughout her career, she is proud to have built strong relationships with clients and colleagues and to have earned the trust and respect of those around her.
For Diane, family law has always been about much more than the legal issues involved. She particularly values the opportunity to work closely with people during some of the most difficult and emotional periods of their lives, helping them understand their options and regain a sense of control over their future.
“You see some people at rock bottom, at such an emotional time, and then you see them come through the other side. I aspire to make a positive difference – to help people understand the options available to them and take back control of their life and future.”
Diane is known for her practical, no-nonsense approach, combined with genuine sensitivity to what her clients are going through. She believes in helping people focus on what really matters, avoiding unnecessary conflict and expense while always taking their feelings and circumstances into account.
Her aim is to help families find a way forward, whether that means resolving matters through negotiation or, where necessary, supporting clients through court proceedings. She particularly enjoys helping people work towards their next chapter, whether that involves remaining in the family home or making a completely new start.
Diane’s commitment extends beyond her own clients. She plays an important role within the Family Team and enjoys supporting the next generation of legal professionals as they develop their careers.
Over the years, she has seen trainees, paralegals, legal executives and solicitors progress within Hughes Paddison and is a strong advocate of an open-door approach. Colleagues know that if they need to talk through a problem or seek a second opinion, Diane is always happy to help.
As a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, Diane brings a wealth of experience to her role and has particular expertise in complex private law children matters, domestic abuse and financial proceedings. She also has experience in advocacy, including supporting vulnerable clients.
As she takes on her new role as Director, Diane is looking forward to continuing to play an active part in the growth and development of Hughes Paddison and contributing to the firm’s future decision-making.
Outside work, Diane enjoys keeping active, particularly trail running with her Sprocker Spaniel, Rudy. One of her favourite places to escape is the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains in South Wales, where she can enjoy the trails, clear her head and spend time outdoors.
Everyone at Hughes Paddison would like to congratulate Diane on her well-deserved promotion and thank her for the commitment, expertise and support she has given to the firm over so many years.
