Today the Government have announced there will be new legislation in divorce law. This new law will update the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973 in due course. It will mean that, in the future when the legislation comes into force, divorcing couples will no longer have to ‘blame’ each other for the breakdown of their marriage. It is hoped the new law will help reduce family conflict.
Diane is a Chartered Legal Executive in our Family Department having initially been with the firm from 1991 to 2001 and then returning in 2007.
Diane works alongside Managing Partner, Jane Brothwood and deals with a wide range of cases and practices in all areas of family law. Diane also deals with particularly complex private law children matters and domestic abuse.

Diane is married with two energetic and outgoing children. The whole family love the great outdoors and participate and enjoy various sporting activities.
