Fern is a Solicitor in the Family Department of Hughes Paddison and joined the firm in February 2025.

Fern deals with a wide range of cases and practices in all areas of family law.

Experience

• Fern studied English Literature at Royal Holloway, University of London before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of Law, Birmingham.
• Fern undertook the Legal Practice Course and graduated with a Distinction with a Masters in Law in 2021.
• Fern then commenced her training contract at a Herefordshire based firm specialising in Criminal Defence and all aspects of Family Law.
• Fern qualified as a Solicitor in 2023 and spent the first year and a half post qualification working in the Family Team of a local firm in Worcester, before then joining Hughes Paddison in 2025.

Charity Fundraising

Fern is a proud advocate for Asthma UK and takes part in various fundraising initiatives as well as annual 10k races to raise money for the charity.

Outside of work

Fern is a competitive sportswoman and enjoys all aspects of team sports. In particular Fern excels in hockey and has competed at both regional and national level. When she is not playing on a pitch or a court, Fern enjoys countryside walks with her family’s mischievous (but friendly!) dogs, Darcey (Chocolate Labrador) and Teddy (Cockapoo).
