Entering the legal profession as a trainee is an exciting and challenging step in your career. There is no question that entering a training contract is a period of intense learning and professional growth and one where hands-on-experience prepares you for a life as a qualified solicitor.

Supporting early careers are important to our continued success, but we also know how valuable the experience to train in an established law firm that provides an array of legal services to its clients and businesses is to you too.

As a trainee you will rotate through different practice areas, known as seats. This could include Corporate & Commercial Law, Private Client, Commercial Property, Private Client, Family, Residential Conveyancing or Litigation.  Each seat provides a unique learning opportunity, helping you determine which area best aligns with your interests and strengths.

During your training you will:

• Draft legal documents
• Conduct legal research to support cases
• Attend client meetings and court hearing
• Work closely with senior solicitors and partners

Your training contact is about more than just legal knowledge, it’s about developing the skills required to succeed as a Solicitor.
