Heidi Aitken: Rising to New Heights as Equity Partner at Hughes Paddison Solicitors!
Hughes Paddison is delighted to warmly welcome Heidi Aitken to the Equity Partnership. As Director of the Residential Property Team Heidi’s journey has been truly remarkable, she has shown unwavering dedication, unparalleled expertise, and genuine enthusiasm for her role and her team. Here we celebrate her career so far and hear about her plans, as an Equity Partner.
Heidi’s legal career began in 2001 when she embarked on her training contract with Pinkerton Leeke and Co in Cheltenham. Starting out at a small firm, Heidi quickly learned the value of every individual's contribution to the firm’s overall success.
“I’ve always given 100% and growing up in a small firm, makes you realise just how integral you are to the success of the firm.”
Earning recognition as a fully qualified solicitor, she swiftly progressed and was promoted to the position of Salaried Partner in 2007.
It was 2019, when Heidi took on a new challenge as Director of the Residential Property Department at Hughes Paddison. From the outset, she was captivated by the warm family culture of the firm and instantly knew that this was the right place for her.
Embracing her new role with enthusiasm, Heidi navigated the challenges of managing a larger team and welcomed the support from the close-knit community within the firm. Heidi looks back fondly on the support she received early on at Hughes Paddison. Over the years, help and advice from fellow colleagues and support from all the operational and admin staff have helped build the strong, experienced residential team that it is today, it really is a team effort.
Throughout her 21 years of legal expertise, Heidi's commitment to excellence and her unwavering loyalty have shone brightly. Even amidst the unprecedented challenges brought about by the Covid pandemic and the Stamp Duty Holiday, Heidi's leadership and the resilience of her team stood strong. Heidi recalls that during those two years in the residential property market, that the whole of the Hughes Paddison Team supported each other working together, with the common goal of getting transactions over the line and keeping their clients happy.
At Hughes Paddison, our ethos is built on the foundation of family, camaraderie, and a shared sense of purpose. Heidi's promotion epitomises these values, underscoring the supportive and collaborative environment that defines our workplace.
“If I had to sum up what’s it like working at Hughes Paddison, I would say that we’re a family, we laugh a lot, and it really doesn’t feel like ‘work’.”
Working alongside Heidi, one can expect not only unparalleled expertise but also a warm and inclusive atmosphere where laughter is abundant, and every team member feels valued and supported.
It’s an exciting time to be part of the Residential Property Team right now, Heidi says,
“Looking ahead, we're excited about growing our team and we're especially pleased to see the younger members like Jess Reynolds, (Chartered Legal Executive) and Laura Allright, (Chartered Legal Executive and Associate), now closely followed by trainees Alexandria Seddon, and Sandra Wesolek, really flourishing. It's really wonderful to watch the trainees find their feet and bring their unique energy to the table.”
We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead with Heidi at the helm of the Residential Property Team. With her visionary leadership and unwavering dedication, we are confident that Heidi will continue to drive success and foster growth within our firm.
Please join us in congratulating Heidi Aitken on this remarkable achievement. Her promotion is not just a testament to her individual success but a celebration of the strength and unity of our Hughes Paddison team.
