Associate

Laura is a Chartered Legal Executive with Conveyancing Practising Rights.  She works in the residential department, assisted by Sandra Wesolek (trainee legal executive), Gillian Marshall (conveyancing assistant) and Hannah Morris (paralegal).

Laura helps a variety of people to achieve their housing goals, including first time buyers, buy to let companies and those downsizing.

Experience

  • Laura is approachable and always on hand to deal with client (and often their families) enquiries and concerns.

  • Running an efficient and happy team to meet client goals and expectations.

  • Helping clients to meet developer exchange and completion deadlines to ensure they benefit from the incentives being offered.

  • Assisting many clients at the end of the last stamp duty holiday so they could pay the lower rate stamp duty on their purchases and save money.

  • Starting as receptionist at a local law firm and then progressing to a secretary then to conveyancing assistant then to a fee earner and now I am an associate at Hughes Paddison.

  • Completing on over 70 house sale and purchases in one day to meet the developer’s year-end deadline day.

Outside of work

  • Going to gigs locally and further afield, as well as attending the odd festival. Combining a holiday with a festival abroad.

  • Playing in a local netball team once a week - who are sometimes successful!

  • Laura recently ran the Cheltenham Half Marathon for Hughes Paddison’s Charity of the Year, Winston’s Wish, and I am hoping to keep up running, although not such great distances!
